Paintball Tournament Requirements? and more

To enter a paintball tournament,apart from your team, what else do you need to bring? e.g. jersey, gun, paint, air
Also if you go to a paintball ground for casual play can you bring you own gun to use?
If I were to be entering tournaments but also wanting to play bushball casually would the tippmann A-5 be good for both (with flatline barrel attached) or would the Proto SLG 09 be a better choice?

Hey Mitcho,

The choice of marker is something you should try before you buy.
It also depends on what level of play you wish to attain. Novice, Division 1 or Pro.
The SLG would work in both fields of play but as I tell everyone getting into the sport head down to the field and talk to the people who play on a regular basis.

Some of the boys will be at the Coldstream field on Saturday 23/01/2010 and will be playing with various markers.

Hi Mitcho,

just on the marker side of your question:

I have an A5 and its great for use outdoors or in the bush, its a tough marker, really well made,
And theres heaps more mods you can attach to make it look good (just dont make it TOO realistic, might get confiscated).
